Lamar Jackson Gifts Jayson Tatum Signed Jersey in Photo amid Celtics SF's Injury Rehab
Lamar Jackson gave Jayson Tatum a signed jersey while wishing him a speedy recovery from a torn Achilles that ended his 2024-25 season.
The Boston Celtics superstar revealed the gift from the Baltimore Ravens quarterback in a post on his Instagram story.
Tatum suffered the injury in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the New York Knicks.
He faces a long road to recovery, as no NBA player has returned to action sooner than 10 months after an Achilles rupture since 2019 (h/t ESPN's Kevin Pelton).
Tatum's extended absence is a tough blow to a Celtics squad that owns a combined regular-season record of 125-39 over the past two seasons, winning a championship in 2024.
As for Jackson, he's looking to maintain his status as one of the NFL's top quarterbacks in 2025.
The two-time MVP wrapped up another strong year during his 2024 campaign, throwing for 4,172 yards and 41 touchdowns while getting picked off just four times. He also rushed for 915 yards and four scores.
As Jackson prepares for training camp, he made sure to provide a signed jersey and an encouraging message to Tatum as he navigates through his Achilles rehab.
