Cooper Flagg Reportedly Had Dinner With Mavs Players Amid 2025 NBA Draft Rumors
Cooper Flagg is already getting to know his potential future Dallas Mavericks teammates ahead of the 2025 NBA draft.
After a Tuesday dinner with team officials in Dallas, Flagg had dinner on Wednesday with Mavericks players, according to NBA insider Marc Stein.
Stein reported that Flagg had dinner on Tuesday night with members of the Mavericks front office, including general manager Nico Harrison, assistant GM Michael Finley, head coach Jason Kidd and CEO Rick Welts.
The dinner lasted for "about two and a half hours," according to the Dallas Morning News' Mike Curtis.
Flagg then worked out at the Mavericks' practice facility on Wednesday before his dinner with potential future teammates, according to Stein.
The Mavericks are reportedly the only team Flagg will be visiting ahead of a draft in which he is projected as the consensus No. 1 pick by analysts, including Bleacher Report's Jonathan Wasserman.
With former face of the franchise Luka Dončić having departed for the Los Angeles Lakers and Kyrie Irving still recovering from a torn ACL in his left knee, Flagg's ability to fit in quickly with his projected new team will be key to helping the Mavericks enter a new era next fall.
