Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is one of the best basketball minds on the planet, but he won't be walking the sidelines to impart his knowledge when his playing career is over.

In response to a fan question on the Mind the Game podcast, James definitively declared that "there's no way" he will coach an NBA team when he retires.

"Zero chance," he added.

Funny enough, James' co-host Steve Nash quipped, "Please don't coach," as he worked as head coach of the Brooklyn Nets for two-plus seasons after famously being hired with no previous coaching experience.

At 40 years old, James is still at the top of his game, but he acknowledges that the end is near. It will be interesting to see his next move after his legendary career comes to an end, but coaching can be scratched off the list of possibilities.
