Tracy McGrady Says It Was 'An Out-of-Body Experience' to Score 13 Points in 33 Seconds

A seven-time All-Star and NBA Hall of Famer, Tracy McGrady accomplished plenty in his career, but there's one moment that sticks out above the rest.

In 2004, while a member of the Houston Rockets, McGrady single-handedly willed his team to a win over the San Antonio Spurs, scoring 13 points in 33 seconds, capped off by a game-winning three.

He reflected on that moment on The Young Man And The Three.

"It always just goes back to the preparation and being ready for those moments," McGrady said. "And you just don't know when it's gonna happen. You treat the game right, the basketball gods are gonna bless you. And that was just an out-of-body experience. You couldn't lock me in the gym to do that again."

McGrady's scoring outburst was unlike anything in NBA history, and it's hard to imagine we'll ever see a performance quite like it again.

As McGrady said, the basketball gods were with him that day, and it remains one of the most spectacular scoring displays in NBA history.
