Patriots' Stefon Diggs Declines to Address Viral Boat Party Video, Mike Vrabel Meeting
New England Patriots wideout Stefon Diggs spoke to reporters on Tuesday but declined to speak in depth on the offseason video that showed him partying on a boat while possessing an unidentified pink substance.
"Obviously it's a conversation that's happening internal," he told reporters when asked what substance was seen on the video. "I can't have too much conversation about it."

"I want to be as candid with you as possible but I kind of have a thing where I don't talk about my personal life with people I don't know personally," Diggs also told reporters. "... I had a conversation with [Mike] Vrabel obviously and I'll echo everything he said, hoping everybody is making good decisions. And I had a conversation with people in the building as well. So everything else is everything else. The particulars are all internal."
Vrabel vaguely addressed the situation while speaking to reporters in late May.
"It's something that we're aware of," he said. "Obviously, we want to make great decisions on and off the field. We're hoping that with our time on the field today, and when we don't have a script and we're on the call periods, that we're making great decisions. The message will be the same for all our players. We're trying to make great decisions. Any conversations that I've had with Stefon will remain between him and I and the club."
The Patriots signed Diggs to a three-year, $63.5 million deal ($25 million guaranteed) this offseason, hoping to add more weapons on offense for promising young quarterback Drake Maye. The 31-year-old wideout is recovering from an ACL tear suffered last season but expected to be the WR1.
Maye has high hopes for the pairing.
"Yeah, [Diggs] seems like an awesome teammate," he told reporters Monday "He's my locker mate, one down from beside me. We talk all the time. He's a veteran in this league. He's made a lot of plays, played in a lot of big-time games. Just an awesome voice for the receiver room, for this offense. He's played in some playoff games. He's had some big games. Once he recovers, and he's getting back out there, I'm looking forward to being able to throw him some footballs. It's always good having a guy like that on your team."
