Cooper Flagg's Mavs Visit Reportedly Scheduled amid 2025 NBA Draft Rumors
Cooper Flagg reportedly has a big meeting on the books as the pre-draft process heats up.
NBA insider Marc Stein reported the Dallas Mavericks have "arranged an in-person visit to Dallas" for the 18-year-old in the lead-up to the 2025 NBA Draft.
"Flagg is scheduled to be hosted in town by his future team later this month for some get-to-know-you-time before the draft on June 25, when the Mavericks will select the Duke star with the No. 1 overall pick," Stein wrote.
Bleacher Report's Jonathan Wasserman has long had Flagg pegged as the obvious choice for the Mavericks at No. 1 overall.
Flagg, a former No. 1 overall recruit, averaged 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds and 4.2 assists in 37 games as a freshman at Duke. He was named the AP Player of the Year, consensus All-American and helped lead the Blue Devils to a Final Four appearance.
As he prepares to begin his professional career, the Mavericks will hope Flagg can translate into the face of the franchise after shipping Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers before February's trade deadline.
The meeting should help the two sides get more acquainted with each other so they can hit the ground running when he officially joins the team.
The NBA Draft is set for June 25-26 in Brooklyn, New York.
