Khaman Maluach Reportedly Valued 'Highly' by Raptors amid 2025 NBA Draft Rumors
Duke center Khaman Maluach has reportedly emerged as the top center prospect in this year's draft class, and one team is especially high on him.
NBA insider Jake Fischer reported that teams agree Maluach is "largely viewed as the leading center prospect" and the Toronto Raptors "highly value" him.
The Raptors have the No. 9 pick in this year's draft, so there's a chance Maluach will be gone by then. According to Stein, teams around the league believe Toronto has its eye on several big men this year.
"The Raptors, though, have left various rival teams with the impression that they covet multiple centers at the No. 9 slot … meaning they might have another big man in mind should Maluach come off the board by the time Toronto is on the clock," Stein wrote.
Maluach, a South Sudan native, played just one season for the Blue Devils, averaging 8.6 points, 6.6 boards and 1.3 blocks per game. He already has NBA size at 7'1", 253 pounds.
Maluach had the second-highest standing reach and the longest wingspan at this year's NBA draft combine, meaning he could turn into an elite rim protector in the NBA.
Bleacher Report's Jonathan Wasserman projects Maluach to go to the Charlotte Hornets, who have the No. 4 overall pick.
