The star point guard's last-second jumper gave Indiana a 111-110 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Thursday.
The Pacers trailed by 15 points with roughly 10 minutes left in the fourth quarter and also faced a nine-point deficit with just under three minutes remaining in the final period against the Thunder.
Haliburton's pull-up jump shot was the latest game-winner in the NBA Finals since Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan hit a buzzer-beater to defeat the Utah Jazz in Game 1 of the 1997 Finals (h/t ESPN's Jamal Collier).
The two-time All-Star has helped Indiana complete multiple improbable comebacks throughout the 2025 playoffs.
In Game 5 of the Pacers' first-round clash with the Milwaukee Bucks, Haliburton connected on a game-winning layup in overtime to advance to the second round and eliminate Milwaukee.
He went on to hit a go-ahead triple with just over one second left in Game 2 of Indiana's second-round matchup with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The 25-year-old also recorded a buzzer-beating jumper to help the Pacers force overtime and eventually defeat the New York Knicks in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Haliburton has averaged 18.5 points, 9.5 assists, 5.9 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game on 46.6/33.1/80.4 shooting splits in 17 playoff appearances this year.
