Jay-Z Places $1M Bet on SGA, Thunder to Win NBA Finals, Beat Pacers in 5 Games

Jay-Z will be taking a seven-figure hit if the Oklahoma City Thunder don't make quick work of the Indiana Pacers in the NBA Finals.

The famed rapper laid down a $1 million bet on the Thunder winning in five games. He'll take home an additional $2.3 million if the wager cashes:

The Pacers have proven everyone wrong so far by getting to this stage. Few outside Indiana had them getting past the top-seeded Cleveland Cavaliers in the second round, while the New York Knicks were the popular pick in the conference finals.

In the Thunder, Tyrese Haliburton and Pascal Siakam might have finally met their match.

MVP winner Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is averaging 29.8 points and 6.9 assists in the postseason, and OKC has maintained the best defensive rating (104.7) of any team in the playoff field, per NBA.com.

Top to bottom, the Thunder have a better team than the Pacers and they have more tactical wrinkles they can add as the series unfolds.

A gentleman's sweep is more than possible and it would be the third straight year the Finals made it only five games.
