NBA Finals Bracket 2025, Odds, Box Score Predictions for Pacers vs. Thunder Game 1

The Indiana Pacers and Oklahoma City Thunder both achieved success in series openers throughout the 2025 NBA postseason.

Oklahoma City is 2-1 with a pair of blowout victories, while Indiana is 3-0.

Oklahoma City owns the edge on the odds board for Game 1 of the NBA Finals because it was the better team in the regular season and owns home-court advantage.

OKC also won both regular-season clashes with the Pacers by a combined 27 points.

Indiana is more than capable of hanging around, but there's good reason why the spread sits at 9.5 points for Thursday's opener in OKC.

Expect Another Big Game from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 45 and 33 points in his two regular-season meetings with the Pacers.

SGA's point prop sits at over/under 33.5 for Game 1, the highest on the board by an 11-point margin.

The OKC superstar recorded four 30-plus-point performances in each of the last two series against Denver and Minnesota.

Gilgeous-Alexander scored 31 and 33 points in the last two series openers.

The high point prop makes you think about betting the under, but Indiana's inability to contain him in the regular season makes you think the NBA MVP is about to go off in Game 1.

SGA should also fill up other stat categories. He averaged 6.4 rebounds and 6.6 assists per game in the Denver series. He averaged 5.2 boards and 8.2 helpers per contests versus Minnesota.

With those numbers in mind, it's worth looking at SGA's rebounds and assists prop over of 12.5.

Target Pascal Siakam Props

Pascal Siakam had a trio of 30-point performances in the Eastern Conference Finals against the Knicks.

The Indiana big man had at least 15 points in all six of those contests. He hasn't scored fewer than 15 points since Game 2 of the second-round series with Cleveland.

Siakam recorded 33 points and 19 rebounds in his two meetings with OKC in the regular season. He was one rebound shy of having a pair of double-doubles.

OKC didn't have Chet Holmgren on the floor in either game, so that may alter Siakam's stats throughout the series.

Siakam's props for Game 1 sit over/under 19.5 points and 6.5 rebounds. The over on the rebound prop might be more attainable because the Pacers need someone to be more aggressive on the glass.

Indiana comes into the series with no players averaging over six rebounds per game in the postseason. Siakam, Tyrese Haliburton and Aaron Nesmith sit at 5.8, 5.7 and 5.6 boards per contest, respectively.

The Pacers need Siakam and probably one other player to step up in that department so that the Thunder don't control the rebounding stats through Holmgren and others.
