76ers' Paul George Recalls Eagles Fan Trolling Him About Tobias Harris on Video
Paul George found himself stuck in traffic after the Philadelphia Eagles picked up a big playoff win earlier this year, and it gave him the chance to interact with some fans.
Not all of those interactions were good ones. The Philadelphia 76ers star said one fan called him out while he was stuck in traffic, saying that the Sixers would have been better off keeping Tobias Harris last offseason.
"He said, 'Yo, we could've kept Tobias. We could've kept Tobias if you gonna do this s--t,'" George said on Podcast P with Paul George. "Shoutout TB, man. It ain't no joke at TB. It was funny, but it was like some s--t you take to the heart. Like, you right. Facts. I got you."
George said that getting trolled by the fan inspired him to get to work.
"I got to the crib, found the closest basketball, like 'Yo, let me get right,'" he said.
In George's defense, injuries were a major factor this year, but it was a rough first season in Philadelphia. George put up just 16.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game, appearing in 41 contests as the 76ers missed the postseason as Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey also missed significant time with injuries.
Harris served as a valuable role player for the Detroit Pistons, posting 13.7 points and 5.9 rebounds per game.
Whether the 76ers truly would have been better with Harris over George is a hypothetical, but Philadelphia will look to bounce back during the 2025-26 campaign.
