After earning his record-extending 21st All-NBA selection at age 40, LeBron James reflected on the milestone, saying he is “Blessed beyond I can even imagine.”

"ALL NBA at 40!! Low key crazy to me right now! Sitting here watching the playoffs just thinking about it," James wrote.

James and the Los Angeles Lakers were eliminated in the first round of the Western Conference Playoffs, falling 4-1 to the Minnesota Timberwolves, but, the veteran put up 25.4 points per game with 9.0 rebounds and 5.6 assists.

In addition to his All-NBA recognition, LeBron James finished sixth in MVP voting this season—making history as the oldest player ever to receive MVP votes. He broke the previous record held by Michael Jordan, surpassing him by 13 months. Jordan earned MVP consideration during the 2001-02 season with the Washington Wizards.

Remarkably, James is now both the youngest and oldest player in NBA history to receive MVP votes. His 21-year span between first and latest MVP recognition is the longest ever, surpassing Tim Duncan’s 17-year gap.

Before a stellar playoff performance James, the oldest player in the league, averaged 24.4 points per game in the regular season in addition to 7.8 rebounds and 8.2 assists.
