Anthony Edwards Passes Kevin Garnett to Become Wolves' All-Time Leading Playoff Scorer
Kevin Garnett has remained the greatest player in Minnesota Timberwolves history for nearly two decades, but Anthony Edwards is coming for his crown.
The young star reached another milestone on Thursday, surpassing Garnett to become Minnesota's all-time leading playoff scorer. Edwards reached 1,051 career playoff points in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Garnett, drafted just seven years into Minnesota's existence as a team, will always be known as the Timberwolves' first true franchise player. He led the team to its first-ever playoff appearance in 1997. He was also Minnesota's first MVP and remains the franchise's only MVP.
Edwards is now writing a new chapter in the Timberwolves' history book.
Edwards, still just 23 years old, has established himself as a perennial MVP candidate, and it seems like only a matter of time before he takes home that coveted award.
Last year, he led the team to its first playoff series win since 2004 and took Minnesota all the way to the conference finals. One season and some major roster changes later, Edwards has the Wolves knocking on the door of a Finals appearance once again.
Game 1 was a 114-88 blowout loss, but Minnesota is more than capable of overcoming an early deficit against the best team in the NBA. But to keep their championship hopes alive, the Timberwolves will need the best version of Edwards.
If he can lead the Wolves past OKC, he could very well claim the spot of the greatest player of the relatively new Timberwolves franchise.
