SGA Buys Rolexes for Thunder Teammates After NBA MVP Win, Watches Revealed in Video
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was named the NBA's MVP for the 2024-25 season on Wednesday, but the rest of the Oklahoma City Thunder were big winners too.
The Thunder superstar hooked his teammates up with Rolexes following the MVP announcement:
SGA was a worthy MVP candidate on his own merits, leading the NBA in scoring (32.7 PPG) this season. But the Thunder as a whole also had one of the best regular seasons in recent memory, winning 68 games while riding a young, athletic and defensively-sound group to the top overall seed in the Western Conference Playoffs.
Gilgeous-Alexander being the best player on the NBA's best team this season certainly bolstered his MVP case. And this was not an easy season to capture the award, with Nikola Jokić averaging a triple-double (29.6 PPG, 12.7 RPG, 10.2 APG) and Giannis Antetokounmpo putting up absurd numbers (30.4 PPG, 11.9 RPG, 6.5 APG, 1.2 BPG).
So yes, SGA's teammates earned those Rolexes. The real silverware the team is hoping for this season, however, is an NBA title.
