NBA's Tyrese Haliburton to Be Playable Character in WWE 2K25, 1st Photo Revealed
Tyrese Haliburton is having an outstanding year on the court and is gearing up for his second consecutive conference finals appearance, but the Indiana Pacers star got an exciting bit of news off the court this week.
Haliburton, a noted wrestling fan, is set to appear in the WWE2K25 video game as a playable character in the Dunks and Destruction Package.

"I'm really excited. Obviously, I got the opportunity to come and be in the Garden and experience that and be in the ring a little bit," Haliburton said. "So, I'm excited about being a playable character in the game and, yeah, it's going to be super cool."
Haliburton's focus right now is on leading his team past the New York Knicks and to the NBA Finals, but it seems he could be on his way to an eventual career in the WWE.
He gave fans a preview last year when he squared up with Knicks star Jalen Brunson at WWE SmackDown, though neither player went further than exchanging a stare down.
Once his season is over, perhaps Haliburton will make a few cameos in the real-life WWE. For now, fans can enjoy playing with his character in the game.
It's unclear whether other NBA players will be featured in WWE2K25, but it would be interesting if Brunson also got a playable character, considering his and Haliburton's meeting in the ring last year.
Until then, Haliburton and Brunson will keep their rivalry on the court.
The Pacers downed the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round before beating the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference semifinals. The Knicks got past the Detroit Pistons before defeating the defending champion Boston Celtics in the second round.
Last season, Indiana and New York had an intense seven-game series in the Eastern Conference semifinals, setting up a new era of the Knicks-Pacers rivalry. A new chapter in that rivalry will take place in the coming weeks in the conference finals.
After the on-court rivalry between Haliburton and Brunson, perhaps we'll see a new saga between the two in the ring at some point.
