Westbrook signed a two-year, $6.8 million deal with the Nuggets and holds a player option for the 2025-26 season. If he declines it, the former MVP would become an unrestricted free agent in 2026.

After facing his former team, the Oklahoma City Thunder, in the Western Conference Semifinals that resulted in a blowout Game 7 loss, questions are swirling about what’s next for 36-year-old Westbrook.

The veteran guard averaged 13.3 points, 4.9 rebounds and 6.1 assists during the regular season, shooting 45 percent from the field. But the playoffs told a different story.

Westbrook endured one of the worst series of his 17-year career. He posted a minus-92 over seven games, had more turnovers than assists and shot just 34 percent from the floor and 21 percent from three-point range.

With Westbrook declining to address his future on Sunday, fans are left wondering where the former MVP could land next.
