Hawks' Trae Young Trolls Knicks Fans, Says Thunder Fans Are Louder Amid NBA Playoffs
Despite watching the NBA playoffs from home, Atlanta Hawks star guard Trae Young won't let his rivalry with the New York Knicks die down.
During Sunday's Western Conference Semifinals Game 7 between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Denver Nuggets, Young took to social media to praise the Thunder fans at Paycom Center while simultaneously taking a shot at Knicks fans:
Young has been a villain to Knicks fans since he led Atlanta past New York in the Eastern Conference Semifinals. However, he hasn't duplicated that playoff success in any of the subsequent seasons, and the Hawks failed to even make it out of the play-in tournament this year.
Meanwhile, the Knicks are in the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time since 2000. They will be facing the Indiana Pacers in yet another installment of their storied rivalry. Indiana eliminated New York in the conference semifinals last season, so this year's matchup is sure to be an exciting battle.
Knicks fans will have the chance to prove Young wrong when they welcome the Pacers to Madison Square Garden for Game 1 of the conference finals on Wednesday.
