Natalia lost her father and her younger sister, Gianna, in a helicopter crash that resulted in the deaths of nine people in January 2020.

Kobe was represented on her stole through his "sheath" logo, which he said in a 2014 interview with Esquire's Mike Sager was designed to look like the sheath of a samurai's sword.

Natalia's stole also featured Greek letters representing her sorority of Kappa Kappa Gamma, as well as "Class of 2025" and "Cum Laude."

Natalia's mother, Vanessa Bryant, shared a close-up image of the stole on Instagram with the caption "4 ever," followed by emojis including a crown and a snake.

Natalia told Teen Vogue's Kara Nesvig in January 2024 that she wanted to use her film degree to direct “girlhood and coming-of-age stories" after graduating.
