Knicks' Josh Hart Appears to Shade Celtics' Jaylen Brown With Photo of Athletic Cup
Josh Hart came prepared in every possible way to help the New York Knicks close out the Boston Celtics in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference semifinals on Friday night.
The veteran forward appeared to be having some fun at the expense of Jaylen Brown with a picture his wife posted on X of a protective athletic cup.
The cup is a reference to Game 5 when Brown grabbed Hart below the belt early in the third quarter. Hart responded to the incident by shoving Brown, eventually leading to both players being called for a technical foul.
That wasn't the only notable incident involving Hart in Wednesday's game. He took an accidental elbow to the face from Luke Kornet in the first quarter that left him bleeding above the eye.
Hart also reference his bloody face in a post on X on Saturday.
Even though Game 5 was loaded with insults and injury for Hart, as the Knicks lost 127-102, he got revenge in a big way on Friday night.
The 30-year-old recorded a triple-double with 10 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists in New York's 119-81 win. He is the first Knicks player with a playoff triple-double since Walt Frazier in 1972.
New York eliminated the Celtics in Game 6 and will play in the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time in 25 years. The Knicks will host the Indiana Pacers at Madison Square Garden in Game 1 on Wednesday.
