WWE's Logan Paul Tells Tyrese Haliburton to 'Finish the Story' Ahead of Pacers-Knicks

WWE Superstar and YouTube sensation Logan Paul threw his support behind Tyrese Haliburton and the Indiana Pacers ahead of their Eastern Conference Finals clash with Jalen Brunson and the New York Knicks.

In a post on X, Paul called for Haliburton to "finish the story," while including video of a confrontation Haliburton and Brunson had during an episode of SmackDown last June:

That particular SmackDown took place at the Knicks' home arena of Madison Square Garden, and Haliburton received a hugely negative reaction from the crowd since his Pacers had eliminated the Knicks in the second round of the playoffs about one month earlier.

Because of that, WWE cast Haliburton as a heel, putting him in Paul's corner during a match against LA Knight and Santos Escobar.

When Haliburton attempted to bring Paul a pair of brass knuckles to use on Knight, Brunson hopped the barricade and intervened.

Knight took advantage of the chaos by rolling up Paul for the win, prompting Paul and Haliburton to attempt to corner him after the match. However, Brunson grabbed a steel chair much to the delight of the MSG crowd, forcing Paul and Haliburton to retreat.

Brunson got some measure of revenge on Haliburton with that segment, but beating him in the Eastern Conference Finals would be much sweeter, as it would result in the Knicks' first trip to the NBA Finals since 1999.

Likewise, the Pacers have endured a long Finals drought, having not made it since 2000.

While the Pacers did knock the Knicks out of the playoffs last season, it came with an asterisk since Julius Randle was out due to injury, while OG Anunoby was barely able to play and Brunson had to leave early with an injury in Game 7.

Both the Knicks and Pacers are essentially fully healthy entering the 2025 Eastern Conference Finals, so there should be little doubt about who the better team truly is at the end of the series.
