The Minnesota Timberwolves trolled the Golden State Warriors after eliminating them in the second round of the playoffs on Wednesday night with a social media post involving T-Wolves star Anthony Edwards and Warriors legend Stephen Curry.

After Minnesota's 121-110 road win over Golden State to win the series 4-1 and advance to the Western Conference Finals, the Timberwolves' X account posted a video of Edwards doing Curry's signature "night night" celebration next to him at the 2024 Summer Olympics, along with a photo of Edwards doing it, accompanied by the score of the T-Wolves' Game 5 win:

The Timberwolves also posted a Full House-inspired video celebrating their second consecutive trip to the Western Conference Finals:

After Curry suffered a hamstring injury during the Warriors' Game 1 win over the Timberwolves, Minnesota swept its way through the rest of the series, winning four straight games while Curry was on the shelf.

Curry is arguably the greatest shooter of all time and one of the greatest all-around players as well, having won four championships, two NBA MVP awards and one NBA Finals MVP award.

Despite turning 37 years old this season, Curry still had yet another highly productive year, averaging 24.5 points, 6.0 assists, 4.4 rebounds, 4.4 three-pointers made and 1.1 steals per game en route to an 11th career All-Star selection.

Curry, LeBron James and Kevin Durant proved last year at the Olympics that the NBA's old guard is still at the top of their game, as they were the three top contributors to Team USA's gold medal-winning performance.

Steph was especially huge in the semifinals and the gold medal game, as he scored a game-high 36 points in a come-from-behind win over Serbia in the semis, followed by 24 points in a win over France to secure gold.

Curry hit multiple three-pointers over the final three minutes of the gold medal game, including a dagger in the closing seconds that set off a huge celebration and prompted the "night night" celebration:

While Curry, James and Durant received much of the credit for Team USA's success last summer, Edwards played big minutes as well at his first Olympics and showed why he may be the future face of the NBA.

The 23-year-old carried that momentum over to the 2024-25 NBA season, averaging a career-high 27.6 points per game to go along with 5.7 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 4.1 three-pointers made and 1.2 steals.

He has been named an All-Star in each of the past three seasons and shown steady improvement throughout his five-year NBA career, which suggests Edwards may soon be a perennial top candidate for MVP.

Edwards and the T-Wolves are also on the precipice of an NBA Finals appearance once again, after falling to the Dallas Mavericks in last year's Western Conference Finals.

After putting the Warriors to sleep and sending them into the offseason, the Timberwolves will await the result of the other Western Conference semifinal, which the Oklahoma City Thunder currently lead 3-2 over the Denver Nuggets.
