Anthony Edwards Praised by NBA Fans as Wolves Win Game 4 vs. Warriors Without Curry

The Minnesota Timberwolves have Anthony Edwards. The Golden State Warriors do not. Sometimes, it's just that simple.

The Wolves, led by Edwards' 30 points and five assists, beat the Dubs 117-110 on Monday night to take a commanding 3-1 lead in the semifinals of the Western Conference playoffs.

Julius Randle added 31 points and five boards, while Jonathan Kuminga led the Warriors with 23 points off the bench and Jimmy Butler added 14 points and six rebounds.

Now, Warriors fans will be quick to note that superstar guard Stephen Curry remained unavailable with a hamstring strain, undoubtedly an enormous storyline in this series. Golden State only managed 17 points in the third quarter and basically emptied their bench with just under five minutes in the fourth, waving the white flag. Having Curry would have, at the very least, made things closer.

But it was Edwards' night, and he was the toast of social media after the contest:

Playoff Ant just seems to be a different beast. He was too good for the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round, too much for the Phoenix Suns and Denver Nuggets in last year's postseason, and now he has the Warriors gasping for air.

Getting Curry back would help immensely—no team stands much of a chance this time of year without their best player. But Edwards has downloaded Golden State's defense, and if the Dubs don't find a solution, and soon, they are finished. With or without Curry.
