Jalen Brunson Thrills NBA Fans as Knicks Beat Celtics, Take 3-1 Lead amid Tatum Injury

Led by Jalen Brunson's 39 points, the New York Knicks took down the Boston Celtics by the final score of 121-113 in Game 4 of their second-round playoff series on Monday night.

Jayson Tatum scored a game-high 42 points on 16-of-28 shooting for Boston, but he left the game with roughly three minutes left in the fourth quarter with an apparent lower leg injury.

As for the Knicks, they held a three-point lead through three quarters and held off Boston over the final 12 minutes with several crucial buckets from Brunson and Mikal Bridges.

Brunson dished out 12 assists and pulled down five rebounds to go along with his 39 points, shooting 56.0 percent from the field and hitting four of his eight attempts from behind the arc.

Bridges finished with 23 points, 10 of which came in the fourth quarter. He also racked up four steals and one block.

Fans were amazed by the performances from Brunson and the Knicks as they took a 3-1 series lead.

New York was dominant inside the arc, scoring 64 points in the paint compared to just 32 for Boston.

Karl-Anthony Towns finished with a double-double, scoring 23 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.

The Knicks will now look to close out the series in five games, while the Celtics are attempting to keep their season alive and defend their 2024 title.
