He went on to have a Hall of Fame NBA career after being selected No. 3 overall by the Denver Nuggets in the 2003 NBA Draft. He spent eight seasons in Denver before a memorable seven-year run with the New York Knicks.

Across 19 NBA seasons, Anthony earned 10 All-Star selections, captured three Olympic gold medals with Team USA and retired ranked No. 10 on the NBA’s all-time scoring list.

Anthony’s son, Kiyan, a 6-foot-5 shooting guard, signed with Syracuse in November 2024 and is expected to begin his freshman season this fall—carrying on the family legacy at the school where his father became a legend.
