George Pickens Reportedly Was Removed from Multiple NFL Teams' Draft Boards in 2022
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver George Pickens wasn't considered an option by multiple teams in the 2022 NFL draft, according to ESPN's Brooke Pryor.
"At least one NFL team took him off their draft board after being turned off by his behavior during his predraft visit, according to a high-ranking team executive," Pryor reported Saturday.
The Pittsburgh Steelers ultimately selected him in the second round with the No. 52 overall pick.

On Wednesday, the Steelers traded Pickens and a 2027 sixth-round pick to the Cowboys in exchange for a 2026 third-round selection and a 2027 fifth-round pick.
The 24-year-old's behavior both on and off the field appeared to be an issue for certain teams leading up to the 2022 draft, as the former Georgia receiver was suspended for the first half of the 2019 SEC Championship game against LSU after getting ejected for fighting during a clash with Georgia Tech (h/t Pryor).
While Pickens proved that he can take the top off opposing defenses throughout his first three seasons in Pittsburgh, he also experienced some more issues which included a brief altercation with former Cowboys cornerback Jourdan Lewis in Week 5 of the 2024 season.
Pickens also reportedly arrived late to the Steelers' clash with the Kansas City Chiefs on Christmas Day.
Dallas will be hoping that he can serve as a consistent No. 2 option for Dak Prescott in its passing attack alongside CeeDee Lamb in 2025.
In 14 games with the Steelers last season, Pickens hauled in 59 receptions for 900 yards and three touchdowns.
