Jourdan Lewis Reacts to George Pickens, Cowboys Trade After 2024 Feud, Altercation
Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Jourdan Lewis sounded off Wednesday on social media after his former team acquired one of his biggest rivals in a trade.
Reacting to ESPN's Adam Schefter reporting that the Dallas Cowboys landed wide receiver George Pickens in a trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Lewis expressed relief that he left Dallas and signed with Jacksonville in free agency:

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Last season, Pickens and Lewis had a run-in at the end of Dallas' 20-17 win over Pittsburgh in Week 5, as Pickens yanked Lewis down by his facemask in the midst of Lewis celebrating in front of him.
Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports later reported Lewis was fined $11,255 for taunting and Pickens was fined $10,230 for grabbing his facemask.
Following their altercation, cameras caught Lewis talking trash about Pickens on his way to the locker room, calling the wideout "weak."
However, Lewis later expressed regret over his comments, as he told reporters: "Honestly, I shouldn't have said that. It was an emotional game. There was some chatter on the field. One thing led to another. He had a moment, I had a moment. It was too emotional, I shouldn't have said it."
Originally a third-round draft pick out of Michigan in 2017, Lewis spent his first eight NFL seasons in Dallas.
Lewis appeared in 115 games and made 64 starts for the Cowboys, recording 386 tackles, 10 interceptions and 44 passes defended en route to establishing himself as one of the top nickel corners in the league.
After signing multiple extensions with the Cowboys in the past, Lewis truly tested the free-agent market this offseason, and it resulted in him inking a three-year, $30 million deal with the Jags.
The Cowboys undoubtedly have some question marks at slot corner after letting Lewis walk, but the acquisition of Pickens filled a hole at WR2 across from CeeDee Lamb.
Now, quarterback Dak Prescott has a strong group of weapons at his disposal in the form of receivers Lamb, Pickens, Jalen Tolbert, Jonathan Mingo and Ryan Flournoy, as well as tight end Jake Ferguson.
That may have been exactly what the Cowboys needed in order to bounce back from last season's 7-10 record and return to the playoffs, but Lewis seems thrilled to be in Jacksonville nonetheless.
