Jimmy Butler Trolls Buddy Hield with Batman, SpongeBob Meme Video After Warriors' Win

Jimmy Butler has consistently called himself the Robin to Stephen Curry's Batman since he joined the Golden State Warriors in a February trade. That led to some good-natured trolling between teammates after Sunday's Game 7 win over the Houston Rockets.

First, Buddy Hield joked that Butler is actually the Alfred to Curry's Batman since his name is Butler:

Then, Butler took to Instagram and posted the following video to troll Hield right back:

That Butler would see himself as the Robin to Curry's Batman comes as no surprise. The latter has been the face of the Warriors franchise throughout his 16-year career and has won four championships, two MVPs, two scoring titles and 11 All-Star selections.

Curry is a Warriors icon and remains their go-to option even at 37 years old.

Butler is accustomed to being in a starring role himself as a six-time All-Star and five-time All-NBA selection who led the Miami Heat to the NBA Finals when he was their Batman, but he understandably has accepted a role as the No. 2 in Golden State.

Yet Hield earned the right to have a little fun with the star after Sunday's Game 7 win over the Rockets.

The Oklahoma product poured in 33 points on 9-of-11 shooting from three-point range as a massive difference-maker in the decisive contest. With Houston so focused on stopping Curry and preventing him from getting any looks on the outside, Hield found himself with plenty of space and took full advantage.

He will likely need to do the same against the Minnesota Timberwolves in the second round with all of the attention Curry and Butler draw.

If he does, he can continue teasing Butler as the Warriors advance further into the playoffs.
