The Golden State Warriors' backcourt helped lead the team to a 103-89 win over the Houston Rockets in Game 7 of their first-round playoff series on Sunday night.

Stephen Curry and Buddy Hield combined to score 55 points, helping the Warriors break away in the fourth quarter.

Houston pulled to within seven points as just over eight minutes remained in regulation, but couldn't cut into the deficit any further as Golden State repeatedly kept the Rockets from building momentum.

Curry overcame a rough start to the contest to finish with a double-double, scoring 22 points and pulling down 10 rebounds to go along with seven assists. He shot 8-of-16 from the field and 4-of-10 from three-point territory.

Fans and pundits were amazed by his late surge.

Jimmy Butler also racked up several clutch buckets to keep the Rockets at bay, scoring 20 points on 7-of-13 shooting. He dished out seven assists of his own.

Hield helped keep the Warriors' offense afloat through the first two quarters. He ended the night by putting up a game-high 33 points, with 22 coming in the first half.

He also shot 9-of-11 from behind the arc.

Houston struggled offensively throughout the contest, shooting just 40.5 percent from the field as a team and committing 11 turnovers compared to 14 assists.

Alperen Şengün finished with 21 points and 14 rebounds, but was only able to connect on nine of his 23 field-goal attempts.

The Rockets are officially eliminated from the playoffs, while the Warriors will advance to face the Minnesota Timberwolves in the second round.
