Shedeur Sanders Reportedly Has Been 'More Modest' Since Rumors on Draft Interviews
Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders reportedly has showcased a different demeanor in recent weeks leading up to Thursday's NFL draft.
Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer reported that Sanders' approach when meeting with teams has been a lot more subtle following rumors of his overconfidence in pre-draft interviews.
"To his credit, I have heard he’s been more modest the past couple weeks with teams—early on, some got the impression he was trying to steer his way to certain destinations—and has left those teams with a better feeling than some over the early parts of the process," Breer stated.

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
Following the NFL Scouting Combine, NFL insider Josina Anderson reported that a quarterbacks coach described Sanders "as coming off 'brash' and 'arrogant' in his team interview." Tony Pauline of Sportskeeda also reported that teams were "a little turned off by his antics," such as skipping passing drills at the Shrine Bowl.
Still, Sanders is a talented prospect who carries the same self-assurance as his father, Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders. The 23-year-old could be a reliable starting quarterback in the NFL with the right development.
There are differing opinions on where Sanders will land in the 2025 NFL draft. While he has been linked to the New York Giants (No. 3), New Orleans Saints (No. 9) and Pittsburgh Steelers (No. 21), Breer stated that he "could fall out of the first round all together" if those teams pass on him.
In a draft full of impressive prospects, Sanders will be the most intriguing player to watch when the proceedings kick off on Thursday.
