Ben Saraf, Karter Knox and Noa Essengue Declare for 2025 NBA Draft
The depth of the 2025 NBA Draft Class just got a bit deeper.
Guard Ben Saraf and forwards Karter Knox and Noa Essengue all announced that they were entering their names in the draft class. Knox' declaration does keep the door open for a return to Arkansas, as he has until May 28 to withdraw and return to school.
Saraf spent the 2024-25 season with Ulm of the EuroCup League. He has averaged 12.8 points, 4.6 assists and 2.2 rebounds in 16 games for the German Club. He expressed his excitement about the draft while also keeping his focus on the end of his current season.
"This is the right time for me," Saraf said, per Jonathan Givony of ESPN. "After playing against the highest levels of competition in European basketball, I am ready and excited for the draft, but first we need to finish the season strong in Ulm."
He is the No. 14 prospect in Jonathan Wasserman's latest big board for Bleacher Report, and possesses a 6-foot-6, 202-pound frame.
Knox just wrapped up his first collegiate season and helped the Razorbacks reach the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament. He averaged 8.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and one assist in 30 games.
He is not currently ranked in Wasserman's top 50 prospects, but that could change as the draft draws nearer.
Essengue is Saraf's teammate with Ulm and he has averaged 12.4 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 18 games for the club. He expressed his hope to be an early pick and that getting drafted would fulfill a dream he has had since he was a kid.
"Since I was a kid, it's been my dream to get drafted by an NBA team," Essengue said, per Givony."My goal now is to be a top-10 pick. I'm focused on the end of my season, hoping to win a championship, but after the playoffs, I will need to get myself ready, because there's a big gap between Europe and the NBA."
He is ranked as the No. 14 prospect on Wasserman's big board.
The 2025 NBA Draft is set for June 25 at the Barclays Center.
