NBA Fans Stunned as Stephen Curry Held to 3 Points in Warriors' Loss to Rockets
Last week, Stephen Curry dropped 52 points, 37 points and 36 points in the span of three games, reminding fans that he can still be the elite scorer he was when he won back-to-back MVPs.
On Sunday, it was a different story.
Curry had just three points in a 106-96 loss to the Houston Rockets, going 1-of-10 from the field and 0-of-8 from deep, a rare sight for the sharpshooter. It was the fewest point total of his career when playing 30 or more minutes.

New NBA Anti-Tanking Reform
He wasn't entirely unproductive on offense as he posted eight assists, but it was still a night to forget for a player who has given fans so many nights to remember.
After the rare cold night from Curry, fans were stunned to see him get shut down by Houston.
It was a rough night for Curry, that much is clear, but it also says a lot about how good the Rockets have become as a defensive unit. Led by second-year player Amen Thompson, who is making a compelling case to make an All-Defensive team this year, Houston has the fourth-best defensive rating in the league this season, per NBA.com.
Though the Warriors and Rockets won't face each other again during the regular season, Curry and Golden State will need to watch film and figure out what went wrong in Sunday's matchup as they could see Houston in the playoffs. The Rockets currently hold the No. 2 seed in the West while the Warriors are in the sixth spot.
Depending on how the final week of the season goes, Golden State could have a first-round playoff matchup with Houston.
