Cowboys Drafting WR Tetairoa McMillan at No. 12 Has 'A Lot of Noise,' Says Todd McShay
The Dallas Cowboys have plenty of question marks at wide receiver outside of CeeDee Lamb, and they reportedly could look to address the position during the first round of the 2025 NFL draft.
"I'm hearing a lot of noise about Tet going 12 to Dallas," draft analyst Todd McShay said Thursday when discussing Arizona wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan (6:10 mark).

Drafting McMillan at No. 12 would give the Cowboys a foundational building block in the aerial attack alongside Dak Prescott and Lamb. It would also provide the NFC East team with someone who could take advantage of the spacing that comes from the double teams and additional attention Lamb consistently draws.
The Arizona product posted 84 catches for 1,319 yards and eight touchdowns in 2024 after finishing the previous season with 90 catches for 1,402 yards and 10 touchdowns. He is also arguably the top pass-catcher in this draft and could be something of a steal for Dallas at No. 12.
B/R's NFL Scouting Department ranked McMillan as the top overall wide receiver and the one with the best hands in its big board of prospects last month. It also projected him to land with the Carolina Panthers at No. 8 overall in a Tuesday mock draft.
"McMillan is a big receiver with good, fluid hips to sink and drive out of the top of his routes," B/R draft analyst Dame Parson said. "He is an outstanding one-on-one ball-winner to grow into a potential high-volume X-receiver."
Other notable wide receivers in the upcoming draft include Texas' Matthew Golden, Ohio State's Emeka Egbuka and Missouri's Luther Burden III, but there could be a run on the position late in the first round or early in the second round before the Cowboys select again at No. 44.
That means they could be on the outside looking in if they want a potential game-changer at the position but still pass on the chance to take one in the first round.
Given that reality, the need for another playmaker next to Lamb and McMillan's overall potential as arguably the best player at his position in the draft, it would be anything but surprising if Dallas jumped at the chance to take him at No. 12 if he is still available.
