The Crimson Tide connected on 25 of their 51 attempts from behind the arc as a team, setting a new March Madness record for threes in a single game.
Sophomore guard Aden Holloway scored 23 points and hit six threes off the bench, while senior Chris Youngblood chipped in with 19 points of his own.
Fans and pundits were amazed by the shooting display from Sears and his teammates.
BYU couldn't keep up with the Tide, shooting just 6-of-30 from three-point territory overall.
With Alabama's win, head coach Nate Oats' team has moved on to the Elite Eight in consecutive years for the first time in program history.
Oats' squad will now await the winner of Thursday's matchup between Arizona and Duke.
