Eagles Pep Band Let Go After 28 Seasons, Led Fans in 'Fly Eagles Fly' Fight Song

Andrew PetersMar 26, 2025

The Philadelphia Eagles are reportedly moving on from their pep band after 28 seasons with the team.

Per CBS' Tom Igundo, a member of the pep band said they are being "let go." Igundo added that a source from the Eagles said their on-field entertainment is "evolving" and thanked the pep band for their time with the team.

The pep band has been with Philadelphia for 28 years, both at Veterans Stadium and Lincoln Financial Field, where the Eagles moved in 2003. The pep band led fans in the famous "Fly Eagles Fly" chant before kickoff and after touchdowns.

According to Igundo, the pep band was comprised of all four original members before being let go. Bobby Mansure, Brian Saunders, Anthony "Skull" DiMeo and Bruce Mulford made up the group.

Along with playing at Eagles games, the pep band played at events around the area including corporate gatherings, fundraisers and even weddings. Igundo noted that the band performed at more than 500 weddings.

It's unclear whether the pep band will continue to perform outside of football games, but Eagles fans will likely miss the staple of Lincoln Financial Field.
