
Rick Pitino, St. John's Win Big East Title as CBB Fans Discuss NCAA Bracket Potential
For the first time since 2000, St. John's has won the Big East tournament.
The Red Storm captured the 2025 conference tournament title with a strong second-half performance against Creighton, winning by the final score of 82-66 on Saturday at Madison Square Garden.

Head coach Rick Pitino's squad responded from an early 17-9 deficit, trailing by just three points at halftime.

Fans were impressed were impressed with the victory and brought up the Red Storm's March Madness outlook.
Creighton struggled to overcome the Johnnies' swarming defense throughout the contest, shooting just 23.1 percent from three-point territory as a team and committing 15 turnovers compared to 16 assists.
For the Red Storm, they'll enter the NCAA Tournament while riding a nine-game win streak and owning an overall record of 30-4.
