Big Ten Tournament 2025: Men's Semifinals Scores, Championship Bracket and Schedule

The stage is set for the Big Ten Men's Basketball Championship Game.

Wisconsin took down Michigan State 77-74 and Michigan defeated Maryland 81-80 to secure the programs' bids into the conference championship game.

Wisconsin 77, Michigan State 74

The top-seeded Michigan State Spartans will not be heading to the Big Ten Championship.

A clutch block on a late three-point attempt helped the Wisconsin Badgers stay ahead and pull off a 77-74 upset victory over the Spartans to advance to the championship game.

The Badgers cruised to a four-point lead at halftime and were able to keep pace with Michigan State in the second have to secure the victory. Michigan State had multiple chances to hit a late three-pointer but were unable to get a shot up cleanly.

John Tonje was the star of the day for the Badgers as he scored 32 points and had seven rebounds. He went 8-of-15 on three pointers, 4-of-10 on field goals and was a sensational 12-of-14 from the three-point line.

John Blackwell had 14 points, three rebounds and two assists for Wisconsin while Carter Gilmore had 10 points, five rebounds and five assists.

Michigan State was led by Jase Richardson, who had 21 points and seven rebounds. Jeremy Fears Jr. had 14 points, six assists and three rebounds while Tre Holloman had 10 points off of the bench.

Michigan 81, Maryland 80

Tre Donaldson was ready to answer the call.

With the Wolverines trailing 80-79 in the final seconds, the junior guard received the ball at around his own free throw line and took it all the way to the hoop, securing the game-winning layup with 0.4 seconds remaining.

This capped off a 12-point, nine assist performance for Donaldson and steered the Wolverines to their first Championship Game since 2019.

Vladislav Goldin led the Wolverines with 25 points and 10 rebounds while Danny Wolf had 21 points and 14 rebounds. Maryland was led by Derik Queen's 31 points.

Maryland's quest for the conference championship ends and in a heartbreaking fashion that Terrapins fans have grown a bit used to over the season.

Michigan and Maryland met in December, with the Wolverines winning the matchup 67-64.
