Adrian Wojnarowski's St. Bonaventure Eliminated by VCU in A-10 Tourney Quarterfinals

St. Bonaventure's quest for the Atlantic-10 Championship has come to an end.

Despite a valiant effort, the Bonnies fell 76-59 to top-seeded VCU in the quarterfinals. This put an end to their first season with former ESPN NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski serving as the general manager.

The Rams took a 36-26 halftime lead and outscored St. Bonaventure 40-33 in the second half. VCU was led by Jack Clark's 17 points and got 14 points from Zeb Jackson off of the bench.

The Bonnies were led by Melvin Council Jr, who had 19 points, nine rebounds and four assists. Chance Moore had 19 points and eight rebounds while Lajae Jones had 10 points and 10 rebounds.

St. Bonaventure finishes the season 22-10 and 9-9 within the Atlantic-10. This was their strongest season since 2021-22. The Bonnies received a first-round bye and then defeated Duquesne 64-59 before facing VCU.

The Rams advance to the semi-finals and inch closer to the conference's automatic bid. They will face either Loyola Chicago or Saint Louis in the next round.
