No. 7 Alabama Upsets No. 1 Auburn on Mark Sears Buzzer-Beater as CBB Fans Eye Rematch

Regulation was not enough to determine a winner in Alabama and Auburn's second matchup of the season.

A smooth shot from Mark Sears found the net at the buzzer in the extra session to hand the No. 7 Crimson Tide a 93-91 overtime victory over No. 1 Auburn in the final game of the regular season.

The win avenged a 95-84 loss to the Tigers on February 15. The Crimson Tide finished the regular season with a 24-7 record while Auburn finished 27-4 entering the SEC tournament.

Grant Nelson led the way with 23 points while Clifford Omoruyi and Labaron Philon chipped in 15 points apiece. Sears, who struggled prior to his heroics, tallied nine points on 3-of-9 shooting.

Fans took to social media to praise the electric matchup and express their desire to see the two rivals clash again later this month:

Auburn will enter the SEC tournament as the No. 1 seed, while Alabama will be the No. 3 seed.

The SEC tournament will run from March 12-16 in Nashville, Tennessee.
