Bettor Can Win $49K After Wagering $10 on 8-Leg Parlay If Flagg, Duke Wins MCBB Title

Rarely does a parlay with all the major championships in a respective year work out, but one bettor is getting awfully close.

A bettor wagered $10 on Spain to win Euro 2024, Argentina to win Copa America, United States men's and women's to win gold at the Olympics, the New York Liberty to win the WNBA Championship, the Los Angeles Dodgers to win the World Series, Ohio State to win the College Football Playoff and Duke men's basketball to win the national championship.

If the Blue Devils take home the title, the bettor will win $49,203.45.

After all of the other picks lined up, counting on Duke isn't a bad bet. The Blue Devils are 27-3 on the year and have rolled through conference play, sitting at the top of the ACC at 18-1.

Unless Duke faces an upset loss to rival North Carolina on Saturday or gets bounced early in the ACC tournament, it should be a No. 1 seed in March Madness.

ESPN's Joe Lunardi projected the Blue Devils to be a top seed in his latest Bracketology, though he also predicted Duke to have a somewhat challenging draw. The Blue Devils would face either UConn or Vanderbilt in the second round and could have a number of tough opponents in the Sweet 16.

Of course, the projections will look different than the actual bracket, so Duke could get an easier path to the title game.

No matter the draw, the Blue Devils are equipped to handle any team in the country. Led by star freshman Cooper Flagg, Duke currently has the highest net rating via Kenpom, with the No. 2 offensive rating and the No. 4 defensive rating.

The Blue Devils have a handful of impressive wins, like a December victory over top-ranked Auburn, and they've proved that they can compete with the best.

The bettor will certainly be pulling for Duke this March Madness.
