Updated 2025 NBA Playoff Picture, Bracket, Standings After Pacers Clinch Spot

The Indiana Pacers are playoff bound for a second straight season.

The Pacers clinched a spot in the 2025 postseason after the Atlanta Hawks lost on Tuesday.

The Chicago Bulls, meanwhile, clinched a berth in the Play-In Tournament after beating the Toronto Raptors 137-118.

There is no easy path out of an Eastern Conference dominated by the Cavaliers, Celtics and Knicks.

It will take a stretch of consistent dominance from Tyrese Haliburton for the Pacers to get farther than last spring's trip to the conference finals.

The Pacers' success this season has been tied in large part to Haliburton's up-and-down production. Indiana has suffered the large majority of this season's losses when Haliburton is held to 20 points or fewer in a game.

Indiana's defense has improved since the All-Star break, although the Pacers' rebounding has remained a season-long concern.

Consistent production from both Haliburton and Siakam combined with improved defensive coverage from Aaron Nesmith and Andrew Nembhard still makes this arguably a more complete team than last season's Eastern Conference Final roster and a legitimate threat to contend in the East.
