Jalen Milroe Says He'll Throw at NFL Combine, Undecided on 40-Yard Dash Participation

Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe confirmed that he'll participate in throwing drills at the 2025 NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis.

“It’s a dream come true,” Milroe said Friday, per Charean Williams of Pro Football Talk. “I remember watching the combine, so now having a firsthand experience of what all is involved during the week is definitely a great week for sure. So, that’s my biggest goal.”

Milroe still hasn't decided if he'll participate in the 40-yard dash, though (via NFL.com).

Milroe's production through the air fell below expectations with the Crimson Tide in 2024, but he remained immensely effective on the ground and is still an intriguing dual-threat prospect.

In 13 appearances last season, he completed 64.3 percent of his throws for 2,844 yards and 16 touchdowns to go along with 11 interceptions. Milroe also rushed for 726 yards and 20 touchdowns.

He was ranked as the No. 5 quarterback in the 2025 NFL draft class on the latest big board from Bleacher Report's NFL Scouting Department. B/R NFL Scout Dame Parson highlighted Milroe's elite athleticism and potential as a processor in the pocket.

"Overall Milroe's outstanding blend of elite speed/athleticism, physically dense build, and a live arm fits the trend of today's quarterback archetypes," Parson wrote in his scouting report. "As he has shown this season, there are encouraging flashes of development as a pocket passer."

Several of the top quarterback prospects in the draft chose not to throw at the combine including Miami's Cam Ward and Colorado's Shedeur Sanders.

Milroe has already connected with multiple teams leading up to his throwing drills. The Cleveland Browns reportedly met with him and the Detroit Lions have also talked with the signal-caller, per Mike Payton of A to Z Sports.

Quarterbacks will participate in drills at the combine on Saturday starting at 1 p.m. ET.
