Tonight, the Blue Devils never trailed and led by as many as 26 points en route to going 21-3 overall and 13-1 in ACC play. A dominant first half where Duke jumped out to a 7-0 and led 38-23 at halftime set the tone. The Blue Devils also kept their foot on the gas in the second half, leading by 13 or more over the final 20 minutes.
Flagg shot 8-of-14 and made all nine of his free throws. He also added five rebounds, three assists, three steals and a few highlights too.
Tyrese Proctor poured in 18 points, and Khaman Maluach added a 10-point, 12-rebound double-double for Duke, which was the heavy favorite rolling into this game against a Cal team that's now 12-13 overall (5-9 ACC).
However, this was still a solid outing from Duke considering a tough second half against Clemson on Saturday, when the Tigers outscored the Blue Devils 42-30.
Flagg had a rare off-night, shooting 6-of-17 and scoring just three points until pouring in 14 over the final 6:05 of regulation.
But he bounced back in a big way Wednesday as Duke showcased once again why it's a formidable national championship threat.
Duke will now host Stanford on Saturday at 4 p.m. ET in a game that will be televised on ABC.
