Brandan Wright Reportedly Agrees to 3-Year Contract with Memphis Grizzlies
Brandan Wright decided his future was in Memphis, reportedly agreeing to a three-year contract with the Grizzlies, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports.
Wojnarowski passed along Wright's reasoning for the decision, saying the power forward "understands he could be a significant part of getting Memphis over the top in the West."
On June 30,ย Tim MacMahon of ESPN.com reported the Phoenix Suns, Indiana Pacers, Los Angeles Clippers and Dallas Mavericks also had interest in Wright.

Wright, 27, spent the end of last season in Phoenix after bouncing from Dallas to Boston earlier in the year. He averaged 7.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game overall, with most of his best basketball coming with the Mavs.
The former North Carolina standout was making nearly three-quarters of his shots at the time of the Rajon Rondo trade, emerging with Tyson Chandler as a solid big-man pairing. Chandler and Wright are excellent roll men coming off picks, with each possessing solid hands and good timing on when to make the hard cut.

Wright is a solid mid-level free agent, and after drawing serious attention, he felt he could be the missing piece that helps push the Grizzlies over the hump in the crowded Western Conference picture.
