Nike Penny Pack 2015 Release Date, Pics and Retail Price
One year ago, Nike dropped a Penny Pack and made waves with the innovative designs.
Saturday, Nike hits sneakerheads with another edition of the Penny Pack, inspired by Penny Hardaway, this time featuring the Nike Foamposite One “Sharpie” and the Nike Air Penny 6.
Here's a look at the release details, per Kicks on Fire:
It's a pack for the ages that's sure to fly off store shelves in a quick manner.
Foot Locker provides a look at the shoes in the pack:
| Saturday, July 4 | $500 |
Sneaker Bar Detroit looks at the pack itself:
The Air Penny 6 isn't one to ignore, not with its "Royal White" with hints of icy blue on the swoosh, tongue and inside.
Sneaker Bar Detroit provides multiple angles of the impressive design:
The back features a smooth logo surrounded by a mesh design, with the inside of the tongue touting smooth writing for an authentic feel.
As was the case with last year's "Shooting Stars" pack, though, the real appeal seems to come from the Foamposite offering. Kicks on Fire provides a closer look on Instagram:
The blue rips attention in head-turning fashion, with a fun fact centering on the black stripes—they are inspired by an event in the playoffs back in the late '90s, where Hardaway took to his shoes with a permanent marker to draw stripes.
Fashion Deals offers one more angle, which features the icy bottom, logo on the front tongue and pull tab at the top:
If last year's pack put the Hardaway shoes on the market in a big way, this one just builds on the momentum and carves out an even bigger space.
Both shoes tout the perfect balance of blue and black, staying truthful to the inspiration. They also feature the latest tech, meaning performance on the hardwood won't be an issue, either.
Sneakerheads can get their hands on the rare Penny Pack Saturday.
