Los Angeles Lakers Delete Their LaMarcus Aldridge Tweets

Brian ChenJul 1, 2015

Late Tuesday night, the Lakers were sending out tweets, convinced that they were about to lure prized free-agent big man LaMarcus Aldridge to Los Angeles.

They posted a picture of Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine sporting an Aldridge Lakers jersey as well as a tweet with the hashtag "#LAtoLA."

Less than 24 hours later, reports surfaced that the Lakers failed toย "make a strong impression" on Aldridge during their meeting, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports. Mike Bresnahan of the Los Angeles Times said Aldridge and Kobe Bryant "didn't quite gel."
