Tracking Prospects' Suits and Gear at the 2015 NBA Draft

Dan CarsonJun 25, 2015

The 2015 NBA draft is drawing near, meaning that over the next few hours, you'll see young men using, abusing and living dangerously on the tightrope of draft-day fashion.

We'll be doing our best to keep up with the parade of gear as the ceremony nears. When Kristaps Porzingis shows up in a Dumb & Dumber tux, we'll have it here.

With that, we now turn to Kansas guard Kelly Oubre—early clubhouse leader for loudest shoes of the night. He is the rhinestone cowboy:

And then there's D'Angelo Russell's Ohio State-themed suit. He's reppin' the Buckeyes strong:

Emmanuel Mudiay is rocking a black suit with a black collar. The inside of his jacket is adorned with the flags of his native Democratic Republic of the Congo and China, where he played pro ball in lieu of college hoops:

Wisconsin's Sam Dekker—a noted headphone hawker—is wearing a relatively reserved blue suit. He'd also like you to buy this hair product. It's like Kevlar for fauxhawks:

If you look too closely at Karl-Anthony Towns' suit coat, you will wake up at a table next to The Mad Hatter.

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson is going real aggressive with the flannel lumberjack pants. This is a reckless and bold decision:

Duke's Jahlil Okafor is a doorman, doorman. And his Blue Devils teammate Justise Winslow is going radical (for this draft) and matching his pants with his jacket:

Arkansas' Bobby Portis is projected to be the first member of Franki Valli and the Four Seasons to be drafted in the first round:

Here's another look at Russell's Buckeyes setup. Don't sleep on the wrists:

Kentucky's goon squad is on the bus. Trey Lyles, Willie Cauley-Stein and Devin Booker stayed sharp and conventional. Towns is still looking like a Haverty's sectional couch:

Russell's slip game may be too strong. This might not be legal.

Kristaps Porzingis will not scratch your luggage. He promises.

Say cheese, class of '15:

And here's the official NBA draft selfie, courtesy of Towns' long arms and a selfie stick:

Wisconsin's Frank "The Tank" Kaminsky with two jacket tanks!

Sports Illustrated's Luke Winn spied Cauley-Stein's custom medallion. I realize now we should all probably get custom medallions.

Stay fresh, boys.

Dan is on Twitter. He is currently neck deep in pocket squares. NECK DEEP.
