Nike Air Foamposite One 'Gone Fishing' Release Date Schedule, Pics, Retail Price
Nike takes a dip in the creative end with Saturday's release of the Air Foamposite One "Gone Fishing," a unique theme and take on the modern design.
This innovative design features "Dark Emerald" and "Black-Challenge Red" with fish designs and a scale-esque look to boot, making it one of the more interesting releases in months.
Here's a look at the release details, via Sneaker Bar Detroit:
| Saturday, June 20 | 10 a.m. ET | $250 |
Foot Locker offers a look at the front and a glimpse of the back:
The theme is hard to miss. The Foamposite shell trumpets the reflective fish scales in a sleek blue-green before giving way to the icy blue of the bottom.
Perhaps most interesting is the fish bones design on the back of each shoe, which Shoe City gets up close and personal with:
That's not the end of the strict adherence to the theme either, folks.
Sneaker Bar Detroit offered a close look at the inside of the shoe back in March, which features the name of the shoe in a slick design:
Also of note in the images are the sleek splashes of red on the interior, on the outside swoosh, on the tongue and even on the pull tab located on the backside of the shoe.
SneakerNews.com provides a look at the shoes out in the wild:
It's hard to argue with an innovative theme a shoe sticks with so well at all the key points.
While it remains a relative unknown as to what this particular pair of sneakers references (or will), it doesn't really matter—the shoe's a looker, a breath of fresh air right into a well-known design, creating one of the month's must-have sets.
Sneakerheads can get their hands on the Air Foamposite One "Gone Fishing" starting Saturday.
