Jun 4, 2018

The Air Jordan brand drops a bombshell on the sneaker game Saturday with the release of the Nike Air Jordan Retro 7 Cigar & Champagne editions.

Reeking of royalty, these limited-edition drops both retail for the same price and are the definition of can't-miss sneakers.

Here's a look at the release details, via NiceKicks.com:

SneakerBarDetroit frames both shoes in an epic side-by-side showcase:

Let's start with the Cigar.

Bathed in "Team Red" and "Gum Light Brown," the shoe is an absolute monster take on the classic design.

Foot Locker offers a look at the edition on its lonesome:

The red makes for a wow-worthy take on the design, with the gold Jumpman on the side sticking out. The orange on the bottom is a nice touch, but the gold letters splashed on the tongue and the gold ring above the laces really make the package.

PRIVATE Inc. offers another angle:

The Champagne offers a darker take on the classic.

Thank "Metallic Gold" and "Sail-Black" for the fresh edition, which features prominent gold plating on the sides with the Jumpman, as well as on the tongue in the same spots.

Foot Locker gets up close and personal with this one, too:

The gold top demands the attention of the eye and won't let go, complemented in a great manner by the competent, basic design the rest of the shoe flaunts.

PRIVATE Inc. offers the zoom:

When it comes right down to it, sneakerheads can't go wrong with either shoe—if not both.

These are smart, modern takes on a classic and won't last on store shelves long.

Which one comes down to a matter of preference as Nike celebrates Michael Jordan's first back-to-back championships again.

Kicks lovers can join in on the celebration beginning Saturday, but may want to do so as quickly as possible.
