Over the past few years,Β LeBron James' performanceΒ and hairline have been a common topic for sports fans.

After seeing the numbers he has put up over the first four games of the NBA Finals (143 points, 48 rebounds, 33 assists), let's leave the performance talk alone. But how about his hair? Yahoo Sports' Marc Spears caught up with James' personal barber,Β Nick Castemanos, to give us the scoop over the Cleveland Cavaliers star's cut. Some days it looks like this:

So, what gives?Β

Castemanos says LeBron's hair is 100 percent natural (via Yahoo Sports):

There is no dye. No additives. No preservatives. Everyone thinks he's dying his hair using [temporary hair colorings] Bigen or Black Ice. It's all his hair. They still don't believe me. I get Bigen comments all the time. I've become numb to it. It used to bother me. It's not easy to hear that.

From Dwyane Wade to Kobe Bryant,Β Castemanos is no stranger to cutting the best of the best. But how does LeBron's cut compare to his other star clients'? Castemanos explains:

LeBron is very tedious about how his hair is cut. The beard is the No. 1 thing. He leaves the top up to me. I leave him less bald. He's my guy. He's my hardest haircut. He has good hair. You have to cut it right. He just has a few fat patches around the chin that you have to take your time with. You have to have patience. It usually takes about 50 minutes.

So there we have it. Case closed.
