Nike Air Jordan 5 Retro 'Poison Green' Release Date Schedule, Pics, Retail Price
Nike takes a trip back to the '90s with a Space Jam vibe Saturday with the release of a "Poison Green" take on the Air Jordan 5 Retro.
Bathed in Infrared 23-Light and the Poison Green to go along with a speckled midsole, the classic design offers a bit of diversity to a budding 2015 market.
Here are the release details to know, via SneakerBarDetroit.com:
Foot Locker provides a look at the sneaker from the side:
| Saturday, June 6 | 10 a.m. | $190 | full family sizing |
Xtrendstore provides another look at the kicks out in the wild:
As one can come to expect from the Air Jordan 5 Retro, this one features the patented Jumpman in all the right places, including on the back, tongue, bottom and even inside.
For example, STASHED takes a look at the one on the back of each shoe, rising above the smooth wraparound green:
As The Sole Supplier shows off, there's also one lambasted on the front of each tongue, meshing well with the gray:
The white base, black on the netting and splashes of creative colors give off a '90s vibe, with a top-down look via J23 iPhone App showing off a taste of the interior, featuring the 30 and a Jumpman:
Oh, and be sure not to forget the translucent, icy bottom, something folks seem to forget goes way back to the '90s in terms of shoe design.
Da Ray offers a look at the innovative tread, splashed with another Jumpman:
It all makes for an impossible-to-ignore package, one sneakerheads will not be able to resist.
Sometimes, a look back to the past and making it relevant again isn't a play on nostalgia, but a way to reinvigorate a market that is set in its ways.
The Air Jordan 5 Retro arrives just in time for summer, and just in time to keep things interesting while turning heads. Be on the lookout for it starting Saturday.
